City Living Network (CLN) is an exciting new cooperative marketing, buyer preparation, and sales effort which offers a centralized source for affordable housing information and listings in Central Ohio. The Network is heavily focused in the Columbus central city area; in order for a city and region to be strong, the central city neighborhoods must also be strong. Urban living is exciting, diverse, and affordable, especially in the Capital City! CLN is a cooperative of local community development corporations (CDCs) and is powered by Enterprise Community Partners. CLN tackles the biggest issues for CDCs and homebuyers: home sales, access, education, and resources. It is a web site that coordinates and centralizes activities such as marketing, contact, qualification, support, and tracking and utilizes the strengths of the local CDCs and partners. The program is a specialized one-stop center for interested home buyers to receive credit counseling, homebuyer counseling, and other assistance and referrals needed for buying a home. Overall, City Living Network is: - a great way to connect interested homebuyers with the proper programs and CDCs
- a great way to increase the capacity of the affordable housing industry through collaborative partnerships
- a great way to revitalize and improve the central city neighborhoods
- a great way to increase the number of owner-occupied homes in the central city area which will ultimately result in stronger, safer neighborhoods and a stronger, more competitive city
